Phillip D. Calac, born at Rincón Indian Reservation, Valley Center, California, November, 1 895. He entered the service from Las Vegas, Nevada, October 2, 1917. Served in the 132d Company, 33d Battalion, 166th Depot Brigade, Camp Lewis, Washington, to October 25, 1917, and in Company C, 362d Infantry, 91st Division, until his death.

He was made Private, First Class, September 1, 1918. Went overseas July 6, 1918. Killed in action during the storming of Gesnes, Meuse-Argonne Offensive, September 29, 1918, after the division had captured Epinonville and Eclisf ontaine.

Person notified of death, Mrs. Felizia Calac Molino, mother, Fallbrook, California. He was a cousin of Alfonzo Calac, who also gave his life in the Service. His name appears on the Roll of Honor of Clark County.
